"Nappy Headed Hoes" A statement that has the nation up in arms...again.
Was Imus wrong? YES! He should not have apologized. This is a nation where we tout our freedom. We have children dying by the thousands over seas fighting for (so we're told) the right of Iraqi's to live freely, speak freely, and express themselves however they see fit. I find it outrageous that we can't afford ourselves the same rights and freedoms we claim to spread across the globe.
The price of freedom is tolerance. Feel free to disagree with any opinion you hear on the radio. Hell, feel free to change the channel. I'll even let you voice your discontent - deal? If you can't tolerate the freedom of your neighbours, be they right or wrong, you need not leave the house because you can't afford to pay the price of the freedom you enjoy.
